Participant of Johnny Mercer Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals named winner of the 2020 ASCAP Foundation Lucille and Jack Yellen Award!
Khiyon Hursey, a participant in this year’s Johnny Mercer Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals, has been named the winner of the 2020 ASCAP Foundation Lucille and Jack Yellen Award! This award is given to an aspiring musical theater lyricist based on talent and career potential.
Khiyon was previously a staff writer for Netflix’s romantic musical drama Soundtrack and a music assistant for the cultural phenomenon Hamilton, both the off-Broadway and Broadway productions and the Grammy-winning cast album. He is currently working on writing for the upcoming romantic musical Love In America.
